One thing that has bothered me since this movie came out is the fact that when he is in the 5th dimensional tessaract he spells out stay to his daughter in hopes that she will make him stay. at the same instant he gives himself the coordinates to nasa which is the original reason for him leaving. so by theory, if he really wanted his past self to stay on earth shouldnt he have just never given the coordinates to nasa.
